Being an insulated mat, the design must be a simple baffle. To compensate for the comfort loss the design is 7.5cm thick.
Which means plenty to air gap to prevent grounding, add comfort and increase insulation further.
“We get it… Selecting the right type of mat can be bewildering.”
Rest assured that all of us at K2MountainGear have felt that pain at some point.
To help things out and hopefully allay any fears – we sell equipment for hikers (by foot, bike or even kayak).
We know that you can find heavyweight camping/hiking equipment at most camp stores – we don’t sell that gear !!
Instead, we focus on designing (or sourcing) lightweight alternatives.
That way you can find the perfect mat for your next outdoor adventure and the find the right balance in warmth, comfort and weight.
